disneydream06Just wrapped up No. 26.
I read Guy Noir and the Straight Skinny by Garrison Keillor. Mr. Keillor of the Prairie Home Companion fame.
It's the story of a 50's style gumshoe/detective only set in modern day St. Paul, Mn. I believe Guy is a character that Mr. Keillor occasionally has used for his program.
The story is a mesh of funny/silly/gross/mature. Basically a little bit of every thing. lol... Guy gets mixed up with an old flame who wants to sell diet pills that are nothing more than tape worms. And of course he has to be a example. :p Looses a ton of weight and has all these young girls falling all over him. And he gets chased around by crooks/thugs. Mostly pretty stupid thugs. :p
I kept picturing/hearing Mr. Keillor telling the story in special way.
Grade: B+
