Book Reading...........
Oct. 20th, 2011 02:17 amFinally I have finished my latest reading.
I went back to the biography route and it was a bit bigger of a book.
I read Elizabeth and Mary by Jane Dunn. It was a look at Elizabeth I Queen of England and Mary Queen of Scots and how their lives were intermingled pretty much for the birth of Mary.
It was mostly a learning for me as to the life of Mary. I have been more familiar with the life of Elizabeth I.
To be honest I kind of always thought Mary of Scots was Elizabeth's half sister Mary not her much younger cousin.
I also didn't realize that Mary of Scots had been help "prisoner" for such a long time before she was finally executed for plotting to kill Elizabeth and take her throne.
In the end, Mary indirectly got the Enlgish throne through her son. However, he took the Protestant faith and therefore Scotland and England remained Protestant countries.
You have to love Royal Rivalries. lol..................
