Playing Politics.....

disneydream06Yesterday I asked everyone to watch Nightline tonight for the tribute to those killed in combat in Iraq. Well, I now learn that Sinclair Broadcast Group that owns several ABC stations is telling it's stations NOT to show the Nightline show because it, "appears to be motivated by a political agenda designed to undermine the efforts of the United States in Iraq." The stations involved are in St. Louis; Columbus, Ohio; Ashville, NC; Charleston, W Va; Greensboro, NC; Pensacola, Fla; Sprinfield, Mass; and Tallahassee, Fla. If you happen to get your ABC channel from one of these towns, tell them to stop playing politics with the lives of our soldiers/families and broadcast the Nightline tribute.
Sinclair Broadcast Group is not above playing politics with the war itself. They have been sending "good news" stories about Iraq to it's local stations-- an effort, it says, to counter the stream of downbeat coverage about the U.S.-led occupation.
So please watch the show. If you are in one of the areas that will not get it because of this censorship, call and demand that they broadcast the show.
I do not personally support this war, but I do support those people who have put their lives on the line so that Georgie can fight his daddy's war.
