I got a package in the mail yesterday that made me cry a little. The envelope was from the Vet's office. I couldn't think what it would be. When I opened it there was a sympathy card and a small plaster mold of Alex's paw print with her name and the dates of her birth and death. It was so very nice of them. And yet I just wanted to start bawling again. I will definitely cherish it.

I agree with Laura. And I can imagine that it makes you sad, but in years to come it will be something to help you remember great moments.
