disneydream06I woke up, showered, and headed for Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Home to my FAVORITE Disney World ride, The Tower of Terror.
I got to the park and made a bee line for the Tower. I rode it twice in a row and it was great being on it again. :) Then I went over and rode the Rock 'n Rollercoaster twice. Second time through the line I had to listen to some parents completely lie to a terrified little boy. They were telling him it did go upside down or in the dark. Once inside I made it a mission to not get seated near them. From there I set off for the Muppets 3D show. Gotta love the Muppets. :)
They have some wondering actors that roam around the park stopping and performing little skits. They are a riot to watch. They all involve something to do with Hollywood. Actors,actresses, directors. That sort of thing.
I found a place to watch the parade the parade and ended up talking with some people from just across the border in Iowa. I went through some more rides and then got in line for the Back Lot Tour. The next thing I know some guy is coming up to me and asking if I would be interested in doing a little acting. He took me back stage and introduced me to the Disney workers and the other "actors" and they got me dressed for the role. We were going to be on a military boat that comes under fire. I was the deck hand that "panics". LOL... With the exploding torpedo I got a little wet, but I wasn't complaining with the heat. :p After our performance they show it on TV screens but dubbed with a soundtrack. It was too funny. On some rides like Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain they take pictures of you plunging and then you can buy them, I would have gladly paid for a copy of the little show we did. Disney, you are missing a money making opportunity. :( The workers did joke that I should watch youtube because sometimes they will post them there. I won't hold my breath, but I will have to go check. lol...
So technically, I acted for Disney. :)
I just went to youtube and went through a few pages and there was actually a video from the day I was there, but it wasn't me. :(
I went back and rode Tower of Terror again, then I bought way too many souveniers. lol... I slowly made my way out of the park. Stopping to look through stores on the way out. That's tough when you know you don't have a lot of luggage space for more stuff. :p
I hoped the bus and got back to my hotel. I stopped into the gift shop and bought some postcards. Then I wondered through the cafeteria to see what I might have for supper. Pizza looked tempting.
I went back to my room and wrote some postcards and watched some TV and relaxed. After awhile, I went back down and got myself a pizza for a late supper. Came back to my room and stuffed myself.
