These are the words my friend Chris, [livejournal.com profile] whobyfire78, say remind him of me and I am to define them regarding myself.

Liberal: I have always felt that if comes from my being Gay, but I have always been very liberal in my thoughts. Most things go, Equal Rights for everyone, Pro Choice. Even to the point of having to support things or people I don't agree with. Bigots and hate mongers I can't stand, but I begrudgingly say they have the right to speak their mind otherwise I wouldn't be any better than they are. In the same breath, I won't deny fighting to stop them from spreading their hatred, but... How's that for wishy washy?

Democrat: The older I get the more I see my self as less of a Democrat. I support the broad picture of the Democratic Party, but as the far fringes continue to take over over the two major parties, I see myself pulling away from the Democratic Party and leaning toward that centrist Independant column.
I grew up being a Democrat due to the previously listed Liberal feelings. I even grew up with a Republican dad. Although he never really preached his politics to us. I see my dad more of an Old School Republican and not the controling Far Right Party.

Actor: I did three plays in high school. I had a great time, but that was the end of it until about 15 years later when Stewartville formed a community theater. After the first show we did one of the actors was telling me I should audition for a show at one of the theaters in Rochester. I just never really heard about the theaters in Rochester, or I am sure I would have gotten involved with them so much sooner. I love to be on stage, especially doing a comedy show. There is nothing better than getting laughs on stage.
Sadly, I have had a falling out with the Rochester Civic Theater and no longer work with them, which puts a huge cramp in the number of shows that are available for me to audition for. So now I am down to one or two a year. :(
I have never been the "leading man" type, but I have decided the "character roles" are a lot more fun anyway. :)

Nursing Assistant: It's a job that I kind of stumbled into. I had graduated from high school, and didn't really know what I wanted to do. My mom suggested I take the course at the Vo Tech and try it out. I took the course over the Summer after graduation and was hired at the hospital that September, and I have been here ever since. Many a night I kick myself for not going back and getting my nursing degree. I know it's never too late, but then I sit back and look at all the paper work that is now involved with nursing and I think to myself, I think I would rather stay a nursing assistant and take care of the patients, even though we are turning into glorified baby sitters most nights. Decisions, Decisions.........

Rochester: For me growing up here, Rochester is a bit of a joke. A city of 80,000+ people that pretends to be a little city. There is one employer, Mother Mayo, that virtually runs the town. They, the city "leaders", try to deny that there is any crime going on in this city and yet we all know there is.
It's convienant to have Rochester here to work in, but I wouldn't want to live here.
I will stick with my little "suburb" town to live in, have Rochester to work in, and the Twin Cities are just up the road to play in. lol......
