Oct. 2nd, 2008 02:01 amIf you believe in having quality, affordable health care, then you may want to sit down. Here's a quote from Sen. John McCain's article, entitled "Better Health Care at Lower Cost for Every American":
"Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation." (Emphasis added.)
The American health care system is already in crisis, and McCain wants it to follow in the footsteps of the banking sector? If you've been following the roller coaster news of the $700 billion dollar bailout of that industry, then you know how ridiculous that sounds.

Date: 2008-10-02 03:58 pm (UTC)This change was made in 1999...in the administration of Pres. Clinton. The Democrats were catering to their "power base" & it went from there. The only thing to blame Republicans for is not putting the regulations back in when they took over....
