Obama says he is the candidate of choice because he has the lead in the pledged delegate count.
Yet Clinton holds the lead in popular vote. Shouldn't that count, if more people actually voted for you?

Yeah, they are both Left, but fighting for the Democratic nomination. Because of the screwy systems some states use, Obama has gotten more delegates even though Clinton has won more total votes.
Republicans have it easier. Most of theirs are done on a winner takes all system. :p

Clinton vs Obama...The New Election of 2000

You know, there's something about this whole Obama and Clinton battle that reminds me of that whole "re-count" back in 2000. Am I the only one who can see that? I mean, does it matter? Obama has the delegate votes and that's what really counts (like ir ot not). Besides, when has the Popular Vote ever really mattered? I can remember from history class that Popular Vote was an influence (nothing more) in the Electorial College. Cheated and desicated. Again, need I remind us all of the Y2K Re-count? What is this going to be? Vol II?

Personally, I wish they would get rid of the electorial college and use the plain old majority vote. :)
