I don't think there's anything sinister about this. It's common when there's roasts or events like this for someone to 'take a shot' at someone else in a spoken sense. I think it's being blown out of proportion.

Though the photo of him sitting smug while the people on both side freak out is kind of interesting. And I love the photo of Stephen Miller using his VERY pregnant wife as a human shield rather than the other way around as they're hustled out of the room is amusing.
