A Day In The Life.....
Jul. 16th, 2024 01:19 amMonday evening I went to another of the "Mystery Movies" that my movie theater has been doing this Summer.
They tell you the rating of the movie, the length of the movie, and whether or not it is a horror movie.
Otherwise you don't know what the movie is until it starts to play.
The Benefit, they only charge $5.
For $5 I figure if it's something I don't want to watch, I can get up and walk out of it.
Monday evening was the fourth mystery movie I Have seen, and all four of them have turned out to be really good movies.
None of them were movies I would have gone to otherwise, but I am really glad that I have seen them.
Monday evening's movie was called "Sing Sing".
It was based on a true story and about a theater group started by/for the inmates at Sing Sing Prison.
It's to help them work on their emotions and hopefully help prepare them for release.
The main characters were actors, but from what the credits showed, everybody else were actual inmates or had been inmates.
It was a very strong and moving movie.
I have to admit, tears flowed a few times, even as I walked out of the theater I was still feeling emotional about it.
The movie was made in 2023, but is just now getting released. It was actually released this past weekend, but on a very limited release. Over the weekend it only played in 4 movie theaters.
If it starts to get a wide release and it comes to your area, I can highly recommend it.
It's rated R, but just for some strong language from I was able to tell.
