A Day In The Life.......
Jun. 20th, 2023 06:47 pmFollow up to probable concussion...
I am sure many of you are asking, why didn't you go to the doctor.
Well, here is an example of why...
I sent a message to my doctor asking if there was anything else I could do, not necessarily drugs, for the headaches besides the Tylenol I have been taking.
I got a message back from one of his nurses saying that Dr. Hanson would like me to make an appointment to see him or one of his team.
So I reluctantly called the Family Med desk to see about getting an appointment.
She asked if there was a preferred time or day. I said I work nights so mornings are best.
Well, Dr. Hanson, my doctor, is booked out through mid July. Big Surprise.....
So she looked up members of his team.
Next available opening is June 26th at 1 pm.
A whole week out from my phone call, which would make it 12 days after the accident.
I asked the lady if it was wrong that I just wanted to say forget it?
She said it was understandable and I could do whatever I wished. If things persisted or got worse I could always call back or go to the ER.
I said I would forget it for now.
So that's where I sit for now...

My dad's oncologist was also recommended. Got ahold of a live bod there pretty quickly. When could they get her in?
IN TWO WEEKS.
Pretty damn impressive for an oncologist. That date didn't work because of Russet's work schedule, but three weeks did, and the appointment went very well. 500 miles to Phoenix with lots of friends in the place and probably free lodging most of the time vs almost 900 miles to Salt Lake City, pay for lodging, and knowing no one. But we did find an AMAZING sushi place in Provo, which we're going to regret never seeing again (probably).

Date: 2023-06-22 05:26 pm (UTC)I think I had a mild one.
Did any of these things happen?
Did you pass out?
Did you feel nauseated?
And you know, I felt confused afterwards, it was weird.

Date: 2023-06-26 04:56 am (UTC)I can ask myself all those questions. With a little help from a nurse friend from work. :)
Other then doing a CT scan which isn't even a guarantee, I could do it all at home.
