Wednesday night at work just proved to me that 1. I am disposable to my station and 2. I can't retire fast enough.

I got to work and we had one empty bed.
I pulled up the staffing sheet on the computer, because everything is on the computer nowadays, and sure enough, I was being floated off to another station. WTF!!!
I barely pulled that up and the charge nurse came and told me that staffing pulled me so I had to float.
Needless to say I was not happy.
Then I saw that they hired an evening aide to stay for 4 extra hours. :o
So I HAD to float, but you could hire another aide to work on the station?
Later during the night I was "Chatting" with my friend from my old station. She was working charge that night and so she was at the meeting they now hold to decide where the help was needed most, blah blah blah...
She told me that my charge nurse said he had an evening aide that was willing to pick up 4 hours but only if she could stay on our station, and then he offered me up to float if he could get another nurse. :o :o :o
So he was willing to pay the evening aide OT to stay 4 extra hours and give me up to get another nurse.
And then he lies to my face blaming staffing for taking me.
Oh and then my friend from my old station told me that my current station was doing so well that they could send a nurse over to my old station to help cover breaks because they were so busy.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say I will never except anything that charge nurse says to me again, and the evening aide that stayed is not on my happy list either.

I have only been on this station for 5 months and I am already thinking it's time to find something else.

I can only assume that I will be floated all weekend now too. ARGH.......
