A Day In The Life.......

I was awaken Saturday by a thunderstorm.
There was a peal of thunder that sounded just like an explosion and it woke me right up. :o
I laid there for awhile and listened to the pouring rain and thunder.
Then I got up and messed around on the computer going through emails and stuff.
I went upstairs and the rain had stopped so I decided to get Maggie out for a quick pee.
Then it rained some more.
After the rain stopped I decided to run into Rochester for some retail therapy. I need some new sneakers and if the price is right, some new jammies.
I got both despite the lousy selection of shoes.
I went home and started getting things ready for supper and took Maggie out to do her duty.
I checked the rain gauge and there was 2 inches of rain. :o
Later in the evening about 9 pm or so it started to storm again. Thunderstorm warnings and even some tornado warnings in the area.
I did the dishes and got dad tucked into bed, and told Maggie that it was going to be awhile before we went outside for her final pee run of the day. It was pouring again.
Finally some time after midnight I was able to get Maggie out, and I checked the rain gauge again.
There was just over 2 inches.
So in just short of 12 hours we got a little over 4 inches of rain.
The temperatures came down, but sadly the humidity is still here. Bleck......
