The hospital is making aides do jobs that were previously done by nurse or special teams.
And honor you might say?
Well, I would feel more honored if they were paying us more.
These are the duties they are passing off on the aides...
Checking Blood Sugars.
Removing peripheral IV sites.
Removing urinary catheters.
Do I hear any volunteers to let me practice on?
Sadly, I can think of a few aides that I wouldn't let touch me. :o
And, Dear Union, how about stepping up and getting us compensated...

What I don't understand is, other groups in the hospital have gotten midcontract raises for different things, why can't the aides get one? ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
