A Day In The Life.......
Jun. 9th, 2022 08:04 pmOr several really...
I am so far behind on posting about things in my life.
I apologize.
April 29: I went to the Kick Off The Summer event at the state fair grounds in St. Paul.
I had the great company of
mrdreamjeans and
seekerval and her hubby Jeff.
It was a great evening with good company, great music, yummy eats, and some retail therapy.
May 1: The second appointment for installing our new AC unit, and this time it was a success.
Well, with the addition of a new fan/motor or something on the furnace unit to blow the air around. Add another $500 or so to the bill. It hasn't arrived at.
The repair guy showed up around 8 am, and didn't leave until 3 pm. I finally laid down and got a 2+ hour nap and had to go to work that night.
Early in the morning, before I knew it was going to take all day, I made an appointment for Thursday morning 8:30 am to get my second booster shot.
At work that night I went on break, sat down to read my book, opened up a package of Haribo gummi bears and popped two in my mouth. As soon as I bit down, one of my crowns came off. :o :o :o
May 2: After work, I ran to the grocery store to get a few things and waste some time before getting my booster shot. Then I drove out to where they were doing the shots and got out my book to waste some time.
At 8 am, I called the dentist to see if I could get an appointment to get my crown taken care of.
Sure they had an appointment, 2 pm. :o :o :o
So I got my booster show, and went home and got Maggie out, and dad up and going, and had some breakfast. Then I laid down and got a 3 hour nap and got up and headed to the dentist. Surprisingly the bill wasn't as bad as I expected. :o
May 3, 4, 5: I worked all weekend and sat with a confused patient each night. Ugh...
Friday night the nurse was nice and did his charting out at the nurse's desk and so didn't kick me off the computer every hour. Different nurse Sat and Sun and she would kick me off the computer every single hour all night long. Add in Sunday night she did hourly blood sugar checks and she kept throwing her blood filled syringes in the regular garbage. WTF, that is biohazardous waste. :o I can't remember if she did that Saturday night too. But I followed behind her all night long taking her syringes out of the regular garbage and putting where they belonged.
May 6: Finally some good news, I went to the movies and saw the classic "The Wizard of Oz". :)
May 8: Last night at work I spent 8 hours sitting in a Covid Isolation room. YIPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Part way through the night the nurse asked if I wanted my break at 5 am, and I said sure if that works out.
She came in at 5 and said the nurses on the floor said it was busy and could I take a shorter break. The martyr in me just said forget it, I will skip my break. Oh, but you haven't been out of the room, You haven't been to the bathroom. I felt like saying, well, when you haven't had anything to drink in about 8 hours, who needs to pee. But at least get out and walk around a few minutes. I told her it's not worth taking all the isolation stuff off for a couple of minutes and then put it all back on again. So I sat in my Covid isolation room for 8 hours. Patient was fine until he woke up in the morning and then he was an annoying whiny ass. lol..........
So I have two more nights of work to go before having the weekend off. :o
Over the last several days I have been trying to get the lawn mowed, or at least partially mowed.
It was gotten several inches deep.
I finally just started tilting the mower up and at least getting the top layer of grass mowed off. UGH!!!!!!!!

Date: 2022-06-12 08:45 am (UTC)It pisses me off so much when I find stuff like that in the garbage, picking up the garbage is part of my morning routines. That and finding things that should be going in the recycling. Like finding pop cans and water bottles. ARGH...

Date: 2022-06-10 02:20 pm (UTC)Okay. A nurse who won't use Sharps/biohazard containers to dispose of syringes? WTF!!! Now, I don't dispose of my tubing sets in biohazard containers, but the amount of blood in my lines is trivial and not much more than a woman's pads/tampons. My needles are always disposed of in Sharps containers, and that includes the area most likely to contain blood.
That woman needs retraining and monitoring and a write-up if she keeps doing that shit.

Date: 2022-06-12 02:32 am (UTC)It was just over $150 with my cash discount. :o
If I see her do it again, I will have to get up the courage to say something. :o
I am afraid to eat chewy/sticky things now.
But of course that hasn't stopped me from buy things. Just afraid to eat them. LOL......
