Oh yeah.... the incompetent runs deep.. and the Mayor of Las Vegas is a machine politician bought and paid for by the Gambling Industry and those casinos, as was her husband (the previous mayor before her). They've been running the show there since 1999.

Her husband served 3 terms, hitting a maximum that was allowed in the state, and she is now on HER third term.

From her Wikipedia Bio:

"Goodman's husband is Oscar Goodman. They have four children and six grandchildren. Oscar Jr. is a doctor with the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, Ross is a criminal defense attorney, Eric is a Las Vegas justice of the peace, and Cara is a marriage and family therapist who also works with burn victims at University Medical Center. Cara was one of three students in The Meadows School’s first graduating class in 1991."

So the worry there is the two sons Ross and Eric, either of which may try to follow up the legacy.

She is also the one that pushed for the Oakland Raiders to move to Las Vegas, among other sports related franchise grab attempts.
