disneydream06So I took dad up to the VA for yet another biopsy.
But of course it wasn't going to be that easy. :o :o :o
No, they don't want to do just a biopsy. They want to take him to surgery and cut out a piece. :o :o :o
So everybody started to come in and do their little talk. I started to tell everybody I was getting very frustrated from being told that it's cancer to being told that no it's not and it's an infection to being told it's cancer and we need to do another biopsy. Finally the consultant came in and I told him this too and he kind of got defensive about it. EXCUSE ME, but you are the one that no matter how many biopsies come back negative you walk in the room and say it's cancer, and then you have the nerve to sit here and tell me you wouldn't do that.
Of course I didn't say that.
But he got all defensive and said, well, what do you think needs to be done. EXCUSE ME... You are the doctor, it's not my job, but if this continues I will tell you what you can do.
He also spilled the beans that he is indeed a cancer doctor, so of course he's not going to be happy until he does find cancer.
I pray to God that this biopsy will come back negative to. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And if that is the case, I will demand a different doctor take over dad's case.
Anyway, we have to go back up on Friday for a pre surgery physical. Blood work, xray, etc etc etc... And they also will be doing the PET Scan to look for possible cancer. It's going to be a long day.
Then the procedure is scheduled for Monday. Another LONG day.
Then a week later we go back for a follow up visit, and apparently Oct. 1 st there is an appointment for something that's suppose to last 3 hours. UGH......
Thank heavens I have a lot of vacation time saved up because it's getting burned off fast. It would be so much easier if we didn't have to drive up to Minneapolis for all of this.
Please keep good thoughts and prayers for my dad.
