They were together for 50+ years when mom died.

It depends on what I am doing. I can usually concentrate with music playing, unless I am trying to read. Then I can get distracted.

Hmm... Oh yeah, Concert tickets.

It should appear on your reading list if you have subscribed to my journal. I have no clue how active your reading feed here is. Mine is sometimes very busy but I watch a ton of communities and usually I just watch them all because of refs and possible ideas.

My trouble is, because my LJ is busy enough, and emails, I usually save Dreamwidth for my weekends off. :o

I guess that is the safest and easiest way. See, I wanted to do the same, mostly because I know that I can spend a lot of time here and now I heavily neglect my journal since I am mostly here on this site for rp and I have not much to say that is worth posting :/
Or at least I think so. But then the lack of comments is also why I sometimes ask myself if I should really continue to post stuff here.

Who knows maybe one day I find people who drop a comment now and then. It's really sad that communicating with other users is something that has dropped to a minimun at most sites ._.

That's true. Nowadays you just push a "Like-Button" whenever is one on a site and that's all you do. Sometimes you will receive a comment somewhere but only if you are lucky enough.

Sure you keep a blog mostly for yourself in the first place but when you know you have people that follow you, you wonder why you never or seldom interact with them .__.

It's like a couple of years ago you knew a bit about most of the people you were following somewhere and now you usually know not that much about them (besides from what you read in their journal).

Sure, the idea behind it is great (remember Myspace? that was a bit like that too but Myspace WAS cool ... I had great conversations there) but especially the way the treat your personal information makes me stay away from that site

Plus: Usually you get clickbait articles, meme and other stuff you already know and well ... it is really not the place to connect with people to discuss fandoms ad be yourself (because oddly enough all people you know in reallife want to be your friend and that makes it harder to be yourself, because you can not get all fannish over something when you know there are people following you, that don't understand it ... and so on).

I have tried it two times and I was always disappointed from that site. The only nice thing are the games there but that was all.

It's all about trolling people.
Out of the blue a couple of years ago, I had people from my high school class wanting to friend me. :o They never had time for me in school, why do you want to be my friend on FB now? UGH......... I accepted some of them, but not all of them. UGH...

Oh yes. I remember when I was doing my job training and still was on that hellish site, I had added only a handful of people who I was close with and suddenly half the class wanted to be friends with me. I was like "But we do not interact in school unless we have to, why do you want to follow my somewhat private / really fannish online life?"

But yeah, in the end they never used it to spread word of important school things and also never seemed to know you and when I deleted that account no one seemed to care. It was a very irritaiting experience O.O
