Book Reading.......
Apr. 10th, 2018 11:31 pmI just finished reading book No. 9.
I read "Bloody History of London: Crime, Corruption, and Murder" by John D. Wright.
It goes back to the beginnings of London and comes right up through recent terrorist attacks.
The historical aspect is interesting for me, but over all it's a wee bit disappointing in that it doesn't get very in depth with any of the stories. The principle information is given and then he moves on to the story. Case in point, one of the most famous "bloody" cases in London's history is of course Jack the Ripper, but the author's telling of it is over in a couple of pages, and that includes pictures.
The book is filled with lots of photos. It almost borders on a pictorial history book. :p
