Can you really win a foot race by falling/diving across the finish line?

Miller from the Bahamas just won the women's 400 meter race by diving across the finish line.
If she had stayed on her feet, imho, it looked questionable if she would have finished first. :o

I have often seen athletes dip forward to cross the line first, which is acceptable as it's the first part of the body to cross the line that counts. But I agree with you, a dive like that shouldn't be allowed.

Technically the rules say the upper body passes the line for a win. That's why they all normally lean forward across the line. Diving seems to be taking it a bit far though
