I went to see Pat Benetar in concert last night. LOVE her.
It was kind of a last minute decision as I just bought my ticket last week, and boy did I luck out and get a GREAT seat. I was in the 5th row center section on the floor just off of center stage. WOW.........
They played about 4 songs and then chatted a bit. They acknowledged Prince's death. They said they had gotten in a day early and were in Minneapolis when it was announced. :(
Later in the show they did a few songs acoustically. They included a short version of Prince's "When Doves Cry". Man, I wish I had my camera with me so I could have recorded that. It was so beautiful and touching.
They played and chatted for a little over an hour and a half. They can still rock it out. :)
Yes, I did fall victim to the souvenir table. Two tshirts and an autographed cd and dvd. :o

Trivia tidbit...
What was the second video played on MTV?

This made Neil, her husband, the first guitar player shown on MTV. :)
The first video only had a bass player. :p

her name does ring a bell but the song from the video is new to me somehow. It looks soooooooooooo 80's. How old is she now?

I think she's just over 60. She first hit it big around 1980. :)
Some of her big hits, Love is a Battlefield, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Hell is for Children.....

Sounds like you had a great time. Find her too mainstream though despite her doing a performance at P3 on Charmed.

Thank you. She really does.
