Just when you think things are going along okay for you...

My "new" tv died yesterday.
From what I can figure out the backlight went out.
I went and talked to the "famous" Geek Squad at Best Buy and their first suggestion, Buy a new tv.
Seriously, it's only, maybe two years old. :o
Otherwise I can pay them $150 to come pick it up and take it to their repair facility and who knows how much to actually fix it.
I asked, Don't you do in home repairs?
Oh no, we only set things up for you.
WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the moment I am watching things on my Nook tablet.
I am thinking about getting a Roku device to put on my other tv.
Then decide about dishing out for another new tv. UGH...
I did a google search for tv repairs in this area, and something like only two places came up. :o
One was Best Buy, and that's not happening, and the other place had a rating of 1 star, so that's questionable.

So I guess "smart" tvs are being built to be replaced like "smart" phones, every couple of years. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but...

Memorial Day is the traditional time, here in the State, that we put flowers on the grave sites of our departed relatives.
I have put pots of flowers on my parents grave site, both my grandparents grave sites, and my aunt and uncles grave site.
I went out last night to water the flowers.
There were a couple of fake flower arrangements on my aunt and uncles grave site. I assume from their kids. They have 4.
There was nothing else on my mom's parents grave site or my parents grave site besides the pots that I have put there.
3 kids in my family and 4 cousins and apparently they can't honor our grandparents or my parents.

And don't even get my started on the VFW who still have not honored my dad with a military flag holder and flag. :o

From the new "Lilo & Stitch" comes a "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride".
For those of you considering seeing the new "Lilo & Stitch", and can only say, I've seen it twice so far. lol.....
It's great. :)

Last Week's Movie Quote...

Margo: Bill's thirty-two. He looks thirty-two. He looked it five years ago, he'll look it twenty years from now. I hate men.

It comes from the 1950 classic, "All About Eve".
The story of an ambitious young woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and she doesn't care who she steps on to get it.
And talk about AMAZING cast: Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, Georte Sanders, Celeste Holm, Gary Merrill, Thelma Ritter, and a young Marilyn Monroe.

Last Week's Movie Quote...

Quint: Here lies the body of Mary Lee; died at the age of a hundred and three. For fifteen years she kept her virginity; not a bad record for this vicinity.

It came from the 1975 "monster" movie "Jaws".
Anybody ready to go swimming yet?

Last Week's Movie Quote...

Wally Fields: What would I have to give you for one little kiss?
Loretta: Chloroform.

It comes from the 1991 movie, "For the Boys", which starred Bette Midler and James Caan.
They were a couple of entertainers who combine up, reluctantly, to entertain the troops.
It's definietly a Love/Hate relationship.

Things aren't looking so good for the LGBT+ Community with the new Catholic Church...

The new pope has previously made comments apparently discouraging acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. In 2012, he criticized Western norms for fostering "sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the gospel," per a May 2 report by The New York Times, citing the “homosexual lifestyle” and “alternative families comprised of same-sex partners and their adopted children.”

Additionally, while in Chiclayo, Peru, Leo discouraged education on gender ideology, claiming it "seeks to create genders that don't exist," he told a local outlet, according to the Times.

And I did have to laugh when the article finished with this...

However, in his first public address as pope, Leo emphasized the need for a church that "builds bridges, establishes dialogues," and the ability to "receive everybody that needs our charity, our presence, dialogue and love."

Well, it's not like he was going to go out on the balconey and tell the flock to hate the Gays.
And as for what he did say, have you ever noticed how people that hate you always feel the need to help you?

Leo, please prove me wrong........

Thank you Randy.......
