WTF news indeed. I can't even read their insane superstitious rantings.

Am I a terrible person for wanting to shove Russell Pearce into a dark crowded theater filled with tear gas and put him up against a heavily armed, body-armor wearing assailant? Actually, scratch that -- there's no doubt in my mind he would have killed an innocent person. Even under the BEST conditions at a well-lit shooting range, hiting a moving target is very difficult for trained professionals. An armed amateur would have had no chance in that theatre.

My arguement is, I have never seen a movie that that DOESN'T have a sign at the door that says Guns are not permitted. At least in my somewhat sane little corner of the world. If I went some where that didn't have one of those signs I wouldn't go in. I know they don't stop the nut jobs, but I don't like the idea of people having guns in public places. Guns are for wars, gun ranges, and hunting. Not movie theaters, restaurants, bars, etc. :o

Oh, man, this reminds me!
When I first moved here three years ago those signs freaked me out like you wouldn't believe. We didn't have them in Portland, because NOBODY CARRIED GUNS AROUND THERE. It was just a given that if you're going to the movies or the library or out for dinner, you aren't packing heat!

One of the first things I had to do after we arrived was take my daughter to the hospital and those "Guns Not Permitted" signs just about sent me running. Like, I'm now living in a place where people have to be TOLD they can't bring their semi-automatic assault rifle to the hospital? Yikes! ;D

It's all thanks to that idiot Jesse Ventura. When he was governor he pussed through a concealed permit law. So now everybody has to post signs saying guns are not permitted. ARGH.......
