disneydream06I woke up Friday morning and turned on The Weather Channel. Milton, Florida was 33F.
What is wrong with that picture?????
Today brought the final LONG driving day of my vacation. I drove from Milton, Fl down to Fort Myers, Fl. I left shortly after 7 am, and I got to my hotel just before 5 pm.
There was a lot of contruction zones and for some bizarre reason after the Tampa area I started to run into really heavy traffic to the point of being stop and go on the Interstate. What the heck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am staying at a Candlewood Suites hotel. It's nice, but there are some things that I question. The airconditioner like the typical hotel room has a note that says to adjust the temp with the thermostate on the wall. One little trouble, the thermostate doesn't appear to do anything. There are no numbers lit up on it. Push all the buttons and nothing happens. Eventually the regular AC kicked in after I pushed some buttons on the main unit. lol...
The fridge has an ice maker in the freezer. You just need to turn it on and it makes ice. I turned it on when I entered the room just before 5 pm. When I came back to the room around 9 pm, there wasn't enough ice in there to cover the bottom of the container. Really nice. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't heard it make on piece of ice since I have been back. It's not after 10 pm.
Anyway, I went out to Angie/and her parent's place. They fixed me a yummy supper and we just sat around and chatted.
I had to laugh at them. They were bundled up and complaining it was sooo cold. Towards the end of the night it was feeling cool, but I wasn't THAT cold. lol........ I looked at the temp when I go on line and it was like 56. I thought it was cooler than that, but still not that bad. :p
On the way back to the hotel I stopped at a Cracker Barrel to get some Moon Pies, http://moonpie.com/original , unfortunately all they had was the banana flavored ones, I wanted the chocolate ones. I have been looking forward to getting some and taking them along to Disney to snack on. :( I guess I can look up one of the several Cracker Barrels in the area. LOL...........
I guess that's enough for today.......

Besides the little mishaps at the hotel and "cold" temps, I am sure Disney will be a welcoming treat!
