I went out to the movies last evening.
I saw the DisneyNature film African Cats. It's the latest entry in the movies that they have released for Earth Day. It is very reminisant of Disney's old nature films from days gone by.
In this film they followed a mother cheetah and her cubs, and a mother lion and her cub and the pride they belonged to.
As always it was beautifully filmed. Africa makes for an amazing backdrop.
I have to admit that at one point I was choking back the tears. I am such an animal lover. I won't say what caused it unless you ask. Just in case you decide to go see the movie.
At first I had the theater to myself. and right before it started a mother/daughter walked in, and in true fashion they sat right behind me. The daughter was a chatty Cathy. Then she proceeded to want to leave part way through the movie because she couldn't stand the animals attacking each other. She got up and left the theater at least three times. I was so close to turning around and telling them to SHUT UP OR MOVE. That or move myself.
Seriously, why would you sit behind the only person in the theater?????
It's really worth seeing unless of course you can't stand animals.
Grade: A-
They had a preview of next years Earth Day release. It's called Chimpanzee.
I am ready to book my ticket already.
It is suppose to be the true story of a little chimp that get's seperated from him family and the older male chimp who finds him and raises him. I could hear my heart going Aww........ :)
