Feb. 21st, 2007 04:15 amQuestions from Joe..........
1. As the “middle kid”, would you rather have been the oldest or
youngest instead? Why or Why not?
I think I would like to have been the youngest. At least looking at things in my family, I think my younger brother had it the easiest. My older brother was the wild child, and got away with a lot. Then I was the middle child and was the "good son" because I kept hearing, "I had one son that did that, I won't have another." Then by the time my younger brother grew up, mom and dad were more relaxed about things again.
2a. Which is your absolute favorite Disney movie of all time? Why? 2b.
Which Disney movie were you the most disappointed in? How would you have
changed it?
WOW, I don't know if I can answer this one. How can I possibly pick a favorite?
Maybe, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I can watch that movie over and over and over. Live action, animation, fantasy, beating up Nazis lol...
Disappointed? I am sure if someone would start naming movies it would strike me, but for now, I will say, Sister Act 2. To start with it is a sequel and rarely do they succeed in my opinion. They spent too much time on the angsty teenager and not enough on the crazy nuns.
Real disappointment? Do I have to have seen them? Most remakes as of late. Herbie Fully Loaded, The Shaggy Dog, The Parent Trap... Please leave the classics alone.
3. Being gay, What has been the most difficult aspect to deal with? How
difficult were the teenage years for you in this regard?
The hardest thing has been my inability to tell my family. The teen years were not overly hard I guess, simply because I didn't have any clue how to act on anything. Small town Minnesota doesn't really lend itself to a gay life, and from No. 1, I was the good son that sat at home and didn't do anything. My teen years were filled with a lot of fantasy. Not a lot has changed sadly. :(
4. If you weren’t slaving away at “Mother’s House” every night,
what type of career would you rather be involved in? Why?
I would love to own a bakery. Also, I know it sounds way too gay, but I love interior decorating.
Now if I just had the talent for either. :p Okay, a full fledged talent for either. :p
I suppose I could always chuck it all for acting. LoL......
5. What would you say are 2 or 3 songs (any genre) that would give others
an idea of the “Real Jon”? (i.e. which “sound” like your
philosophy, attitude, outlook, personality, etc...)
"If Looks Could Kill" by Heart. I would say that says a lot about my personality. I don't usually say what's on my mind. I tend to keep it inside. I let my eyes/looks say it for me.
"Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day. I try to live that way, Whatever Will Be Will Be. :)
"The Way He Makes Me Feel" by Barbra Streisand. It's my fantasy song. :p "Someday". Which is another good Barbra song that kind of fits me, I think.
Yes, I know there are 5 "official" questions here...”Shoot Me.”
