disneydream06Wednesday night I finished up book No. 18.
I read "The President is Missing" by James Patterson and Bill Clinton.
It is a political thriller, duh, about, well obviously, the President of the US going missing. Although that is a bit miss leading. He goes missing to the country, but he is in constant contact with his Chief of Staff. So he isn't really missing.
The country is under attack by a cyber virus, that if released will completely destroy the internet within the US. Anything that uses the internet will become completely useless. Computers will become big paper weights. Cell phones? Worthless. Cars? Worthless. Planes? Worthless. Bank Records? Will disappear. Healthcare? Almost non existent. Etc. Etc. Etc.
The President leads the battle to stop the virus after going off the grid. Why off the grid? Congress is trying to impeach him because they think he colluded a terrorist. Somebody on his Security Council is a leaking information to the terrorists. The Vice President has been meeting with the Speaker of the House, who is from the other Party. He wants the VP to help him impeach the President. She would become the President, and as a reward, the Speaker wants her to appoint his daughter to the Supreme Court.
What happens?
