Book Reading.......
Jul. 14th, 2016 05:04 pmI couldn't sleep, so I got up and finished reading book No. 29.
I read "The Beast Within: A Tale of Beauty's Prince" by Serena Valentino.
It's the second in the series of books telling the story of fairy tale bad guys.
It tells the story of how the Prince became cursed.
The first two books are tied together by the same three sister witches. In Snow White they drove the Queen mad with jealously of any other beautiful woman including her step daughter, Snow. Now in Beauty and the Beast they have cursed the Prince into a beast for rejecting their younger sister.
The author even ties in the next book in the series by talking about Ursula from The Little Mermaid, whom the older witches send their younger sister off to see so they can further the curse against the Prince.
Even though the youngest sister was the one who actually cursed the Prince, when she sees how far her sisters have pushed things, Gaston killing the Beast, she puts an end to things and brings the Beast/Prince back to life so he can live with his Beauty/Belle, happily ever after.
I am really interested to read the next book and see the back ground story the author creates for Ursual.
