Oct. 25th, 2012 08:43 amJust ran up to the office of the great Stewartville Star newspaper to submit my letter to the editor.
And I was greeted with big fat No.
This week they are only printing "positive" letters because there would be no time for the candidate or their supports to respond back. So much for the free and open press.
Personally I call it censorship. But that is just my humble opinion.
I am considering rewriting the begining and submitting it after the election.
Something along the lines of:
Due to restrictive editorial policies of this paper I would like to share with you the information I wasn't allowed to before the election and let you know the kind of politician you just re-elected.
Would that be too snarky?
Any chance they would even publish it? :p
