Yesterday I got the opportunity to shake hands with the Vice President, Joe Biden.
It was at a gathering in Rochester.
He is a great speaker. You can feel the emotions from him. Especially when he talks about his family.

I remember Joe Biden coming to talk speak to our class at Talley Jr. High School in Wilmington, DE. This would've been around 1974ish. It was shortly after his wife, infant daughter and their two sons were in an auto accident which killed his wife and daughter. I remember that was huge news in Delaware at the time.

I asked him what kind of car he drove, being the energy crisis was fresh on everyone's mind. He told me he drove a Chevrolet Nova - from Colonial Chevrolet in Wilmington.

Cool!! I heard on the news tonight that he was in Detroit. Ol' Mitt is making an appearance in Commerce Twp (where I work) at a local family farm. Guess he's trying to rally up his native locals...
