I don't want to sound cruel, but it's sooooooooo annoying how we have to pity the one US girl gymnast.

First she got knocked out of the all around competition because two other US gymnasts did better than her.
Now today was suppose to be the day she won her gold medal on the vault.
What did she do? She blew her second vault. She say down on the landing.

And now the results of the competition?

She gets the silver medal.

Now she can't blame anybody but herself. It wasn't a rule that kept her from winning anything.

why do we have to pity anyone? failure, and being responsible for what we do / don't do, are part of Living. Maybe she'll try again in 4 years....whoever she is (no TV here)

OOPS... Nurse pointed out that it's a different gymnast. :p
Either way they are obviously too young to be competing at that level if they are going to pout about not getting golds.

Mckayla Maroney is the one who screwed up on the vault this weekend and won a silver instead of the gold everyone expected her to take.

Jordyn Wieber is the one who wasn't able to compete in the all-around because two of her teammates scored higher.
