Numbers might not be exact, but I was catching this on tv.


US Senate Democrats sold out Working America.

They just help pass a bill that would refinance the FAA. Unfortunately, it also includes a provision that provents unionising unless 50% of the employees sign a card calling for a vote compared to the current 30+% that is required.
In true Washington DC fashion this deal was an over night nobody's watching vote.

There were only 20 votes against this bill. I can only hope that my Senators were in the minority. :(

Timing is beyond stupid though with Repubs on the ropes for attacking Unions across the country.
I feel the need to knock some heads together in Congress. :o

The Repubs were going after Government unions, whose benefits are paid by taxpayers.... Not the Corporate unions whose benefits are paid by the businesses. There IS a difference between them. I have no liking for Union Bosses telling Me that I have to pay more taxes so they can have their annual raises. Unions is the Private/Public business world do not come from my taxes & the situation is between the Unions and the Corporations - I'm staying out of that.

Still, Congress needs a Wake-Up Call & FAST!

And then require an election within a certain time so we don't have a 2-4 year election cycle. :)
