Nov. 19 Day No. 7 at Disney World.....

disneydream06Okay, I don't know if I can really say that it's day No. 7 because I was really only there long enough to leave. lol...
My shuttle bus back to the airport was scheduled to leave at 5:45 am.
I gathered my luggage and headed over to the main building at about 4:30 am, so I could check out and book my boarding pass and check my checked luggage. A nice service that Disney will do for you. :)
The balloon I bought on Tuesday was still in good shape, so I took it along with me to the check out area. I was hoping I might run into a family with a little kid that I could give it to. Thankfully at that hour there was a family that just came in to check in and so I asked the mom if it would be okay for me to give my balloon to her little girl because I was checking out and couldn't take it with me. She said yes, and the little girl I believe was happy to have it. :)
I finally got checked out. There were only a handful of people working the desk at that hour.
I went out to wait for the desk to open that arranges your boarding passes and takes your checked luggage. When they finally opened. More frustrations began. First they couldn't find my reservation for my flight. Then they weighed my suitcase and it was 4+ pounds over the limit and it would cost me an additional $100 extra to check it. I took a could of things out of it and literally shoved it in my backpack to the bursting point. One problem down. Then finally somebody was able to find my reservation by looking on United's website instead of Continental. Heaven forbid the airline that sold me the ticket should follow through on it. So I finally got my boarding pass, luggage was checked and I just needed to weight for the bus. It came and off we went to the airport. SAD.......... :(
I got into the airport and totally spaced looking through the Disney store there. Not that I had any room for anything. LOL......
I went through security with no problems. Just the regular metal detector and not the radiation dispensor. :p
I found my gate and waited. Boarded, took off, napped most of the way, and landed in Chicago. Found my gate there and waited. Boarded, took off, and decided to try and read my book that I started on the trip down. I literally finished the book as we taxied to the gate in Minneapolis.
I had toyed with the idea of wearing shorts back to Minnesota. I am glad I didn't. As we were approaching the Minneapolis airport the captain annouced that the temperature was 29 and it was snowing. Sweet. NOT... As we landed, I looked out the window and thought, You haven't plowed the runways. :o Thankfully we had really good brakes and we landed safely. lol...
I deplaned and went to find my luggage. Thankfully it made the return trip safely and my new suitcase was in one piece. :p I found my way over to the shuttle bus desk, checked in and waited for that.
Made the trip down to Rochester in one piece. The weather was CRAPPY. Saw one vehicle in the ditch and a two car accident on the way home. I tipped the driver a $20 for his efforts.
I got a ride from Rochester to home from a friend, and.....
My trip was done. :(:(:(
Now if I could just get all of my pictures transfered over to photobucket, and I could start to share more of them with you all. :)
