I am watching the end of the Republican debate and they asked Gov. Perry about having the highest execution

and the audience APPLAUDED.


That is beyond SICK. I am completely disgusted.

No different than an audience applauding at a Democrat's Debate if one of the candidates is asked about their state having the most abortions or the greatest amount of welfare spending if the audience is in favor of such things.

Yes - being "happy" about executions does sound a bit barbaric... then again, it IS Texas.

I didn't watch much of the debates. I can't stomach Perry - I think he's a frightening individual. More so than Santorum and Bachmann as he's potentially quite 'electable'. I think that unless more 'true' information about how he accomplished the "Texas Miracle" (wouldn't have been possible without Federal help) comes out, he'll take out Romney. Romney himself has begun to pander to the Tea Partiers - another ominous development if you ask me.
Huntsman strikes me as a reasonable candidate.
Sadly, my take is that the next election could come down to an "anybody but Obama" type decision for a sizable portion of the population.... :(

I think it has already reached the Anybody But Obama stage.
Heck even Dick Cheney is trying to bait Hillary Clinton into running against him, in my humble opinion. :o
And the Repubs are going to make sure the economy sucks right up until election time to make sure he doesn't have a chance. :o
