Well, that was a quick and pleasant read.

I just finished book No. 7, which was 4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie.
It was partly a quick read because I am familiar with the story/book from the movie version Murder She Said from 1961 starring Margaret Rutherford.
The book is a great whodonit. Although I have to admit I am use to the movie version now. Typically Hollywood liberties have been taken. Miss Marple is a much more central character in the movie than in the book. In the book she appears to be older and in less good health. This causing her to find somebody else to do her snooping around.
Agatha Christie has told some great stories.

As for the movie version, other actresses have been directed to portray Miss Marple closer to the book ideals, for me Margaret Rutherford will always be Miss Marple to me. :)

Book List:
1. Guards Guards by Terry Pratchett
2. Kingdom Keepers III Disney in Shadows by Ridley Pearson
3. The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton
4. Twilight Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko
5. Last Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko
6. Barbara Jordan American Hero by Mary Beth Rogers
7. 4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie

*agrees that Dame Agatha wrote some gooooood tales. I started "Murder on the Orient Express" recently, but it's a bit slow going. I read "And Then There Were None" (aka "Ten Little Indians") and enjoyed that one. The 1945 film version was very good as well.

Murder on the Orient Express is one of the other two I bought. The other is Appointment With Death.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've read anything by Agatha Christie...

I read 4.50 from Paddington years ago. The BBC adaptation is very good, I seem to recall.
