Movie Review......

I went to see Cars 2 tonight.
Made the mistake of seeing a headline of a review that said it was the worst Pixar movie yet.
And the mistake of being tired when I went.

Struggled to stay awake during the beginning of the picture.

It is a good fun movie, but I think Pixar made a mistake to pick this one to celebrate 25 years of movie making.

The premise is international spies and mistaken identities.
Mater the less than intelligent tow truck is mistaken for an American undercover agent.

The movie kind of feels like an expensive direct to video, or should I say dvd nowadays.
Mater was pretty much the main character of the movie, not Lightening McQueen. That can't be a good start when the main character is demoted in favor of the side kick. With that said, I love Mater. :)
They were nice and didn't try to recast Paul Newman. Not that he would have had a lot to do in this movie.

I think I will have to give it a B-

One of the problems the critic had was that Pixar movies have a wide range age appeal, this one felt like it was directed towards kids, and I can kind of agree with that thought.

I wish they wouldn't do so many sequels of movies, they very rarely live up to the original!!

There are so few exceptions to that fact. Toy Story and Pirates.
There are more sequels coming. Monsters Inc and Roger Rabbit to name a couple. :o

With the new land they are building at California Adventure dedicated to "Cars" I really had my hopes up for this sequel. :(

I am now trying to decide if it's worth going back and catching the parts that I nodded though. LOL.........
I so need to stop going to movies when I is sleepy. :o
