Well, I just finished book No. 4 for the year.
Not as impressive as some of my friends, but I am reading. :)

No. 4 is Twilight Watch by Sergie Lukyanenko. It's the third book in the Night Watch series.
After being a little disappointed by book 2, I REALLY liked this one.
The ending is kind of bitter sweet though. Not going to say much in case people decide they want to read the books.
I so wish somebody would consider remaking the first two books into movies and going on to book 3 too. Remake isn't exactly the right word though. The second movie wasn't really about book 2 at all. The story was completely changed in my opinion.
I guess I will move on to book 4, Last Watch. That is the final book in the series. I am not looking forward to the end coming though. Good central charactes to get wrapped up in.

Book List:
1. Guards Guards by Terry Pratchett
2. Kingdom Keepers III Disney in Shadows by Ridley Pearson
3. The Laughing Corpse by Laurell K. Hamilton
4. Twilight Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko

There is a 5th book that ties into the series by the same guy, who co-wrote book 2. Completely new characters. It was awesome.

So which book would you recommend off the list to read first?

Well, they are all into series already, so if you want to pick a series to read...
The Terry Pratchett "DiscWorld" series is fun reading.
The Kingdom Keepers series is technically a young people's books, but it's Disney, so good for me.
The Hamilton "Anita Blake" series, and Lukyanenko "Night Watch" series are both grown up books.
I guess I would go with the Night Watch first. They are really good books, so far, and there are only 4 in the series. Although a friend just told me a coauthor from book 2 wrote another book in the same vein. :)

How's that for an answer? LOL........

The Pratchett series are fun reads.
The Kingdom Keepers are young people's reads, but I am a HUGE Disney fan so that's why I am reading them. :p
3 and 4 are both more adult book series. I have really enjoyed the Night Watch series. It's the battle between "good" vs "bad". Magicians, sorcerers, vampires, etc.

I think I'll stick with Anita - I don't dare get into yet another series.... besides, this one is addicting enough!
