disneydream06I saw a headline during the night that said some people, and I can only imagine who they are, are starting to critisize the memorial service in Tucson, Az because of the cheering that took place during it.
SERIOUSLY?????
It wasn't meant to be just a solemn service to remember the dead. It was also a memorial service to honor the survivors and the heros who helped them.
Why does there have to be so much hatred in this country?????

Date: 2011-01-14 07:34 pm (UTC)With cable TV and the Internet, the population is bombarded with so much more "information" and "news" than before and I think they're (we're) just overwhelmed. We are stressed, frustrated, and it has built to a level where our society has become one big angry crowd with no way to de-stress. Having near-constant bad news piped into our brains day after day by warring media outlets does not help. I miss the days (sometimes) when the internet & 24-hour non-stop "news" were not around to constantly fan the flames so they'd have even more "news" to report.
