Aug. 2nd, 2010 06:28 amBritish Reading Challenge........
Well, it took me 7 months, but I finished my first book of the challenge.
I started the year trying to read Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities. It was a very difficult read and I gave up.
So I decided to read the book Lady Chatterley's Lover, so kindly sent to me by my friend, Eva,
bozotkutya. It was an enjoyable read. I remember seeing the movie some time ago. It didn't quite match up to the book on one particular note. Now there's a surprise. lol... One annoying aspect of the book was the writer had a tendency to repeat words or phrases twice in a row. Not really sure what that was accomplishing. :p
Also in my defense for taking so long to read one book...
I started the year acting in two shows. That lasted from January through the end of May. A lot of my time had to be dedicated to memorizing my parts.
Other than that, I am just a lazy reader. :(
