With the encouragement from some friends, [livejournal.com profile] bozotkutya and [livejournal.com profile] morzsa, I am going to take the plunge and try a reading challenge. On the shortest level you only need to read two books in the year. I would hope I could handle that.
The challenge is to read English books. Fiction only, not non Fiction.
I could take the easy way out and start the Harry Potter books again, but I won't do that. :p
I do love some English classics like Agatha Christie and Robert Louis Stevenson. I should be able to come up with many a book just from those two authors alone.
Follow the link below if it sounds interesting. I know I have a lot of fellow readers out there. :)

I'm positive you can reach higher than the "two book" level!

Thank you. :)
I am sure my dad had an old copy of Robert Louis Stevensons Kidnapped around here, but I can't find it right now.
And I think I have one of Charles Dickens stories some place. Need to go searching. :p

I couldn't find either of those yet, but I do have a copy of the new Winnie the Pooh book and it's written by a Londoner. :)

New Pooh? I prefer the original by Milne :)

I thought I would give it a chance as long as it was an official sequel authorized by the people in charge of the original. So far not too bad. :)

You might also consider Kenneth Graham's "The Wind in the Willows" or (on a lighter level) most anything from Roald Dahl. The 12 Year-old in you would appreciate that one.
