I Was Robbed.......
May. 25th, 2003 11:27 pmThe title of my story is, "I Was Robbed".
I went to the church and it was very nice. VERY simply decorated. I was early so I waited in my car and listened to the radio. More people started to come so I thought I had better go find a seat. It is a very small country church. So I got my seat and waited. And waited. And waited. The wedding started almost a half hour late. I was noticing all the groomsmen running around and even the groom, but I never saw the stripper. So I read the program and I didn't see his name listed. So I thought maybe he isn't in the wedding party any more. So I waited and then when the ceremony finally started and I still didn't see him any where I realized he wasn't going to be there. I all I could think was, "WHAT HAPPENED???".
The ceremony was very nice. Even kind of funny. The minister was the groom's uncle. The bride was lovely. It was kind a formal wedding. The bride's maids and groom's men were all in black. So my all black outfit actually didn't stick out at all. DARN!!! lol...
Later during communion, one of the bride's maids, and sister of the bride, came back looking for the usher and a particular cell phone. It seems there was a special phone that was suppose to be left on and up at the alter so that the stripper could listen to the service.
So apparently the stripper was still in New York. My mind went racing, "What happened? Why didn't he attend the wedding of his "Best" friend?". I found that very strange. And intriging.
BUT THAT MEANS I WAS ROBBED!!!
Robbed of the closure I wanted to get to end our former friendship. Robbed of the chance to shove the old gift I had for him in his face. Robbed of the chance to tell him to go **** himself. After all, I already did that, and who knows how many others have. (Yes, I am still a little bitter about things.)
So all in all the wedding was a BIG let down for me. More than half the reason for going was to put an end to these friendships. To give myself the closure I needed. And now he has even managed to take that away from me as well. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I went to the reception afterward. Well, I went for a little while anyway. I took the gift for the bride and groom, and I also took the gift for the stripper. There was no way in hell I was taking that back home again. Besides I figured let them hold it until he decides to show his face in town again. I know darn well when ever that happens I wouldn't be getting a call about it.
I was very polite through the whole evening. Never saying anything to the fag hag that would spoil her special day.
However, that doesn't mean that I didn't include that very special letter to her in with the gift. It was about ten pages long (free hand). It was a very open and honest letter giving her my side of the story between me and the stripper. I am hoping it will open her eyes a little when it comes to her blind devotion to him. I REALLY DOUBT IT THOUGH.
Anyway, I stayed at the reception long enough to get a little something to eat, and listen to the best man's and bride's maid's toasts and then I left. One, because I was bored. Two, the reception rooms were in the basement of the hotel and it was warm and stuffy. Three, I was bored. Do you see a pattern starting here??? lol...
