Shock and Disbelief.............

I couldn't believe it when I got a phone call last night shortly after 9 pm. I thought for sure it was our scheduling office telling me I was going to be working over at our sister hospital.

You can't imagine my shock when it was my station saying that I could have the night off if I wanted it.
I haven't been offered a night off since 2007, and this was I believe the second time in about the last 10 years.
Believe it or not, I actually thought about it for a minute or two. Thinking about saving my vacation time for my trip in September. But of course I took the night off. Like I said earlier, nursing assistants don't get offered nights off to frequently.

Well, actually it's all done with now. I am just getting ready to head for bed so I can be ready for my night tonight. :p
