Opening Night.....
Mar. 14th, 2009 05:21 amLast night was opening night of my show, Dracula: A Little Biting Humor.
I would like to say, to my knowledge, it went out quite well. Not perfect, but pretty good.
For myself, I don't believe I had any major hiccups. YAY me. :p And I think there was only one big goof, that thankfully didn't distract too much from the show. The actor playing Jonathon Harker has a water gun shaped like an Uzi or something and all through rehearsals the stupid water chamber which is suppose to be the bullet cartridge has fallen off, so of course during the show what happened? Yep it fell off. So the actor was busy trying to put it back together and it got his lost in his lines so for one of those agonizingly long times on stage(which is usually not all that long in the real world) everybody was trying to cover for him and finally he got his act together and we proceeded.
It's my opinion that he could have left the piece where it was and faked the gun shooting water and nobody would have known better. :p But that's just me.
I will have to be on my toes for tonight's show. I have a tendency of having a good opening night, and then relaxing too much and screwing up the next night. :o Fingers crossed. :p
