Well, I think there is good news and bad news this week.

Bad News: I am still in positive numbers for weight lose. :(

Good News: I actually lost weight this week. I was expecting to gain a little more and face the shame of telling you all, but also knowing I was ready to get on the right track. I didn't lose a lot, but it's a start in the right direction. :)

Today's Weight: 244.0 lbs

Total Gained: 3.1 lbs

Do you have specific goals?

I.e.: I want to loose x amount of lbs per week/month/year.

Then do you have specific plans to accomplish these goals.

For example:

I, will loose 3 lbs per week, as seen by my weekly updates in my livejournal. I will loose 3 pounds per week by 1) Walking exactly 5 miles per day, 2) Not eating anything that isn't a fruit or vegetable with the exception of 8 oz of meat, 3) RUNNING for 10 minutes on a tred mill per day.

My goal weight is 175. I will continue to examine this untill I loose this weight.

I am going with the second one. The ultimate goal over time.
I really need to keep my self psychologically(sp?) focused.

In the past I have been able to sent my mind to dieting and I have lost 70+ pounds on a couple of occasions. I was able to say, no sweets at all, walking every day, that sort of thing.
This year it's been, oh a little sweets won't hurt. I don't feel like walking today. Basically one excuse after another. Lame...

I'm going to the GYm in the morning. You should A) JOIN, and B) go. Seriously, you work 8 hour night shifts, and working out before you go to bed, would be fabulouse. Plus, I'd make sure you ran on the tred mill.

This has not been and never will be a runner's body. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When our treadmill was working at home that is when I would use it, after getting home in the morning from work. :) Now with the weather being nicer, I just need to convince myself to get outside and walk. :)

You need to do more than just walk-IMHO. I'm not saying, you need to run a marathon, but VIGIOROUS (spelling?) exercise, will be more benifital from taking off the lbs.

That's great. You don't want to lose too much at once!
