Mar. 11th, 2008 03:48 amWell, the show, Treasure Island, is done and I am happy to say, I never fell over once while my leg was tied up behind my back. :) There was one time Saturday night that came close though. I was feeling a little off balance and I reached for the arm of another actor. Only all I got was the sleeve of her costume. :o Thankfully I was able to get my balance back. :)
Other than the aches and pains of doing it one legged, I really enjoyed the show. It was definitely a challenge physically and mentally. Learning all that dialogue in old English/pirate talk was tough.
My achilles tendon is pretty sore yet. I think it's going to take a while before it's back to normal. Going down steps is the roughest time. All the pressure going down on the tendon like that. When I am home and out of my shoes it's not to bad, but to wear shoes and have the backs rubbing against the tendon is when I start limping pretty good. :p
It's the pits to get old and broken down. lol...
I will try hard to get some pictures posted before to long. Somebody else was taking most of them for me. So if they don't turn out so great, don't blame me. LoL.......
On a side note, I am not looking forward to stepping on the scale this week. With the show, I haven't been eating the best, and with my tendon banged up, I can't really do any good walking/exercising. So I think the old scale is definitely taking an upswing this week.
It's not my fault it's all the shows. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
