I got my car looked at Saturday morning. And fingers crossed I think it is fixed.
I described where I saw some water coming in the night before and the guy started looking along the door frame. He found that the tape holding the molding in place was coming off. He said that could be letting the rain run down into the frame of the car from there. So he pulled it all off and ripped the crappy tape out of there. He applied some kind of glue stuff and put the molding back in place. Then they turned on the water hose and ran it over the door for awhile and apparently no water came in. I was standing outside so I couldn't see. :p
Then the shock came when I went to pay for it.
He didn't charge me anything. :o I ask, Are you sure? and thank him profusely.
I asked him if he knew of any places that cleaned the interiors of cars, it kind of smells after all that rain water. He recommended a place right around the corner from them. I decided to wait until after a good rain shower to see if that was the leak or if there was more of a problem.
Well, we had some rain on Wednesday and the floor wasn't any wetter, so I think the problem may be fixed. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how much it's going to cost to get the car cleaned?

depends

if you take it to place that cleans it for you, depending on what you all want done... 30-100, would be ballpark. If you do it yourself, about 10-20, but not sure if doing it yourself would get rid of the smell.

Yeah, the smell is the big issue, although now that is drier it doesn't smell quite so bad. The rest of the car is actually pretty clean. Maybe I can just get the carpets cleaned.

*tee hee* i wonder if his brother owns the cleaning place?

a good, deep cleaning here with detailing can cost $25-50 here. make sure they use a wet-vac to get at all the moisture and then spray with something for mildew. trust me friend, remember i lived in mold for months.

Hooray!! I'm soo glad it was no big deal. and heaps of good karma on the guy that fixed it.
I think you're on the right track with cleaning it yourself, maybe one of those foaming carpet cleaners and a trip to the two bit car wash/vacuum place?
