I've always been amazed that people couldn't see this. The party of "small government" and less government interference just gets bigger and bigger and wants to poke its nose into more and more places.
But you see, the gov't is poking their nose into the private business of people whom "they", i.e. Republican voters don't like. It's all fine and dandy as long as they don't get disturbed. Now they're learning that the government recognizes no borders when it starts spying. There's also no such thing as 'small government'. Government is the size that it needs to be to server ALL the people. I may not need Department X, but need Dept Y. But if I advocate eliminating X, it's guaranteed there's lots of people who need it! Just look at what's happened with the elimination of the Fed's emergency response, in that it doesn't exist anymore. We don't need that much in NM, they sure need it in the Carolinas and other southern states.
We went to a neighboring cities Pride Festival today. We didn't stay long as Bob was pulling on the lead so much but they did have a great turnout and I love that for red town in Idaho.
