ABBA released the album "The Visitors" on the CD format in 1982.

Somebody on LJ thought it was Dire Straits, so I did a Dear Google and they say it was Billy Joel who did the first commercial release and that ABBA was a first manufacturing of one.
Well, I assume that ABBA must have released it commercially otherwise why would you manufacture it?
