If he didn't stay the course and wait his turn, it would really throw a wrench in the whole thing because his kids would be next.
If he didn't stay in line, I doubt he would keep his kids in line and technically Harry would be next, and he's made a mess of his life.
I am just hoping that Charles lasts many years yet, and that Kate recovers as well.
