Last Week's Movie Quote...

Col. Wainwright Purdy III: You'll need an interpreter...
Captain Fisby: I can study the language.
Col. Wainwright Purdy III: No need. We won the war

It comes from the 1956 musical, "Teahouse of the August Moon.
It had quite the cast: Marlon Brando, Glenn Ford, Machiko Kyo, Paul Ford, Eddie Albert, Harry Morgan, John Forsythe...
A side note, I did the stage version in the 11th grade back in high school. I played a villager. LOL.......
Yes, back then it was still kosher for white people to play Japanese...

I never do that on the movie quiz!  If I don't know it, I try to make an educated guess, and I usually fail at that. :-)

But you will be happy to know that I made Make You Sweat into a version that I can perform in Lord of the Rings Online, and I played it at a gathering this afternoon!

That was an amazing video.  The one problem with songs that contain rap-like lyrics is they sound very one-note when played on a clarinet or other instrument in the game.  People complain that we don't play rap, and it's because it sounds bad!  This one, however, whoever did the midi did a great job on the vocal line.  I have one exception to the no-rap rule and that is Falco's/After The Fire's Der Kommissar.  Fantastic song (and video), but the stanzas are pretty much spoken/rap, the chorus is sung.
